I saw this in an old magazine and tried it today for the kiddie's snack. It was so much fun, I ended up having a snack with them!
Used Sara Lee Iron Kids white bread for these sandwiches. Fill with your choice of filling. I used Boar's Head blackforest ham and Irish cheddar cheese. Top with another piece of SLIK white bread, and put it into the waffle maker. When it's ready, trim and slice to your desired shapes and serve! Great with a tall glass of MILK!
Idea from an old Gourmet magazine.
Note: I've made these with Peanut Butter and Grape Jelly, Nutella, Kaya, and Lemon Curd. My bebies love them!

Hi Padma,
Thanks! I like lemon curd myself, but some folks don't care for it. Try it and see for yourself. :)
Hi Erin,
Good to see you again, and on the east coast now! Yeah, it helps to have the waffle maker do more than just make waffles. :)
Hi Big Boys Oven,
Thanks! Nothing compared to your creative cakes though. :)

Hi Adaliman,
Thank you!
I cannot believe I did not see this before! And just now browsing your blog I came across this great creation for the kids!!! Will try tomorrow morning!
Hi Cris,
This is definitely a fun change for the kiddos. Remember not to add too much fillings as it will overflow into the waffle. :)
