Road Trip
Just returned home and wanted to upload this picture for you guys. We took a mini road trip to the a little town nestled in a valley above 7500 feet from sea level and took this picture in misty rain and fog. Wanna make a guess where we went? Hint: This was the site for a Stephen King movie and a very scary one, I thought.

the shining?
The backdrop of this pic really look scary. very mystified. but onthe other hand looking at those cars parked around the building and nearby, I say it is not...lol
I don't know the location, but is it the set of The Shining?
I'd been there! It's the Stanley Hotel made famous by the movie "The Shining". That movie is indeed scary, I'm scare to watch it! Hahaha... when I saw Jack Nicholson scary face, the two ghost girls, I quickly switch channel. I'm so "chicken" right now, totally scare of horror movies! "The Ring" is another scary one!
Yes! It's The Shining! Creepy, Scary!
I would've guessed right away, but now I read your post above!!! We were there two or three times, once with the kids, second time with my brother and then to meet friends that we hadn't seen in years and they were there visiting friends. Estes is such a nice place to visit... Oh, and I visited 3 times in the Summer, different months, so, our pictures look so different each time! :-)
Haha! I knew you would be able to guess it immediately. It is a fun place, but it so cold there right now. :)
jeremie had a conference in the hotel on halloween weekend in 2004. we hit the sack early as there was not much to do but none of us fell asleep except for renee. The 3 of us, sat up and decided that we are driving home in the late of the night and sleeping in our own bed.
Hi Lily,
It's scary uh? I spend a night there but not on halloween, and couldn't sleep either... kept seeing Jack Nicholson's face! :(
